So a few weeks back I received this message on YouTube from someone. After hearing this fantastic little note, I couldn’t resist asking if anyone else on Facebook wanted to hear me do this song and my music page blew up with “yeses”.
“Just love your music. So soothing and beautiful. Have rocked my baby daughter to sleep many nights listening to your music. Would love to hear you do an arrangement of Scarborough Fair. Love this song and think it would sound amazing on the hammer dulcimer. Thanks for sharing your wonderful gift.”
So after listening to different versions of the song, I decided that I really liked what Paul Simon did on the guitar so I worked on pulling out a couple keys phrases that he played. Then I wanted to “Yoderize” it a bit and added the bridge in the middle. It was a modal change but I think it fit well.
Anyway, hope you enjoy it and please pass it on through sharing through Facebook, Twitter, and such places. I’d love to see this song take off. Thanks for watching.
