Amazing Grace on Hammered Dulcimer by Ted Yoder

This Fan Friday is a very special one. Barbara showed up at my vendor booth at Evart, MI just to say hi and to tell me how special the Fan Friday videos are to her. Her husband passed away just 10 days prior to the festival and after inquiring a little about her husband, she said that his favorite song was Amazing Grace. We hugged and cried together and I thank her for coming and I vowed that I would do this song when I got the chance.

I wanted to make this song really special and so I waited for the right chord progression to come to me and yesterday as I mowed the lawn with my son Wes it came. Barbara, I hope you’re blessed by my offering to you and I hope you find Grace in your time of need. Thank you for letting me be a blessing to you.

God bless you. You are the reason I play music.

Amazing Grace. Amazing arrangement. Amazingly insightful. Amazing musician. I haven't heard this tune played with such emotion since the funeral of my grandmother many years ago. Well done sir!

Thank you Janis. I'm glad you were able to identify with the song. Isn't that what it's all about. ;-) As always, your encouragement means a lot.

I love the harmonies you used in this arrangement! Please include this on your next CD. (Is it too soon to be thinking about your next CD already?!)

Hey Ruthann, it's never too early to be thinking about the next CD. I've already been doing that very same thing. :)
