Who do you say that I am?

Hey folks, got a question for you!

I'm working on my marketing pitch and one thing that I've been asked to do is to ask you which artists I remind you of. A lot of you have heard me play a full concert and other have heard just my videos, but you should be able to name two artists that I make you think of. Please leave a comment below and it will help me out a lot.

Please, nobody better say Prince. :)

Thanks in advance for your participation.

Based on the fact you play all kinds of music well, kind of like Rich Mullins. But honestly, you don't remind me of anyone. You have a unique style. You have an earthy sound and your personality is not one of a super star. You are a laid back family man, that doesn't like to wear his shoes. Not because it is cool to not wear your shoes, just because you don't like to wear them. So who you I think you look like. You look like yourself my friend.

This is an excerpt from a writing referring to Mozart and Beethoven. It was written by Henri Frederic Amiel, 1821-1881. To me both describe your music. The first gives you the peace of perfect art-beauty at first sight. The second gives you sublimity, terror, pity, and a beauty of second impression. The one gives that for which the other rouses a desire. Mozart has the classic purity of light and the blue ocean. Beethoven the romantic humor which belongs to the storms of air and sea. The soul of Mozart seems to dwell on the ethereal peaks of Olympus, and that of Beethoven climbs shuddering the storm-beaten sides of a Sinai. Blessed be they both! Each represents a moment of the ideal life. Each does us good. Our love is due to both.

Hey brother! I would say that the two artists you remind me of are Rich Mullins (of course ;) and Bach. I don't know if this helps, but I thought I'd at least put my input in. :) Sorry I've been out of touch, we've just moved into a new (much BIGGER :) apartment, and we're still getting settled in and trying to get caught up on Email, etc. We'll talk soon. Peace of Christ to you, bro. Peace of Christ to you.

First I would say that you remind me a bit of Dan Landrum. Both of you have a unique sound, style and you both have a natural, earthy, alive sound. Maybe that is just the Dulcimer. But both of you are a joy to listen to. You also remind me of Rich Mullins because of the same reasons just mentioned, but also because you are humble, quiet and still someone people want to be around. I hope that helps. I really enjoy listening to your music and seeing your Fan Friday videos.

Hey Marc, Thanks for the compliment. Landrum is still a master to be reckoned with and he's a great guy. Rich wasn't a slouch of a person or player either. :) Both good company to be compared with.

I see the same humbleness in you that Rich Mullins had. After watching these videos I must say Ted that I don't think I need a dulcimer at all. I have spoons, spatulas, pencils and a grrrreat ceiling fan. I am hooked on the fan instrument. Is it easy to find sheet music or must I wing it?? LOL. You and your family are beautiful. May you always be Blessed. In Christs Love.....Nonnibah
